Goodnight guys!
The time for Ron MacLean to retire is drawing near. Unfortunately, he'll linger on an additional decade or two.

Nope. Smith was in pure godmode. Flames fault lied absolutely everywhere else on that roster save Bennett and scant few others.

Tell you what though. Id like to somehow get Barbashev out of STL to play on a line with Bennett. That'd be some crazy hitting.

Such a dumb, selfish decision.
So easy to second guess .

Selfish? How would you know?

I love Patrick Maroon, his interviews are a big reason why. The guy just oozes emotion for his family and hockey. He truly wears his heart on his sleeve in the public eye, and it shows a great human being who longs for his son and does everything on the ice for him.

But beyond all that, he left Edmonton with fans and media thinking for the 1000th time that a role player with pride and heart was the reason they weren't contenders and look at him now!

Because he had 4 3 teammates completely wide open, and Bishop held onto the puck for 10 seconds allowing all 5 Blues to get into the zone.

Bishop caused a turnover and almost the OT goal against after 45 seconds of Blues pressure that didn't need to happen.

Just completely unnecessary IMO, so I'd consider that selfish considering he could have dropped it for either Dman to play catch if they wanted to kill time or start an easy breakout.

He went overboard with dumb and selfish as that's not Ben Bishop at all, but ill advised, absolutely.

Maybe?
MacKinnon's shot in game 2OT, Rantanen's shot in game 4OT reeked of Smith being fatigued. And Smith had nothing left in the tank in game 5 which wasn't as bad as the score IMO.

Not blaming Smith but he was a 37 year old and as well as he play he wasn't as unbeatable as Bishop.

And it was probably a mistake brought on by mental and physical fatigue.

I like their song, it's fun and I think we should have fun too.

NHL Standings as of January 2, 2019

23. Carolina
31. St. Louis

Both make it to the conference finals. Unreal.

I remember the rumours that we were going to sign Maroon. He would have been a great add. Hindsight, am I right?!?!
