You think he came out of general anesthesia and had reaction A or B?
A: "Nailed it"
B: Full Jack Nicholson surgery scene from the 1989 Batman

Holland was removed from his role as GM of the Red Wings, because it was deemed he wasn't doing a good enough job. One could argue that he was allowed to stay on as GM for years as a result of his past accomplishments and not his future.
Most Detroit fans will tell you that they wanted this years ago.
will Holland be able to right the ship in Edmonton? Its tough to say, but I don't think one can argue that Detroit didn't see him as the solution there, despite having 4 rings.
that says a lot imo

So sounds like some shuffling of deck chairs and mission accomplished.

Rutherford got the heave ho in Carolina and hadn't done anything noteworthy in years before he won two cups in Pittsburgh.

Looks like Katz's surgeon was given "full autonomy".

The Oilers trying to make changes is like watching a hybrid episode of The Twilight Zone and the movie Groundhog Day.
