Does SJ sign Karlsson? He is a disaster. He makes Tj Brodie look like Lidstrom.

Karlsson would do well to get an entirely new foot, I think.

I’ve developed a hatred of the Colorado Avalanche. Gross.

Weird game. Broken stick by Zadorov costly on one side, Karlsson just falling down (after having reamed out Dillon) ends up contributing to the OT winner

Some reporter was on 960 a couple of months ago and when asked about Sharks re-signing Karlsson the reporter said Karlsson has to want to play in the west. It was rumoured that he has no problems in/with San Jose but he'd rather go east again.

Colorado is basically one good line + 40 minutes of trap hockey. Its ####ing terrible. It also shows how the oilers could have success.

Ugly hockey. Can't believe Calgary made that team look dominant.

Sharks would do well to insert Paveliski in the lineup and shelter EK as much as possible. Wow, Pickles had a huge game all for not because of Karlsson.

During this last season he was 6th in number of penalties taken. 30 of his 33 penalties were minors. I should add that he did this in 70 games.

The year before he was 3rd in the league in number of penalties taken. He was second in the league in number of minor penalties having taken 39. He did this in 78 games.

So, he has spent close to, but less than 1 minute per game, in the penalty box.

And that’s where he lives LOL,

It annoys me to no end that Colorado is managing to score on their chances in OT. I am not even close to getting over the fact that Frolik and Backlund missed on clear grade A gaping net scoring chances in each of the OTs. We could have won both of those OT games and that's what you absolutely have to do to win in the playoffs. Every team that goes deep have a bunch of OT wins. We needed those goals dammit! We would probably have gone on to win the series had we scored on those chances, no matter how terrible the team played for long stretches. And now Colorado continues to score important OT goals instead.

I'm just wondering how many GM's are readying up 7 x $10 million offer sheets for that player. I'm sure there are a few but really that just shows how desperate organizations are as it's going to be a disaster of a contract for whatever team gets him.

I sure hope so. Karlsson has not looked the same since his last injury, and a huge, long-term deal for a post-apex defenseman would look great for the Sharks.

The Avs are probably tired from all the offensive zone time and shots on goal they had in the first round

I actually thought the Flames were the better team in the first OT game and the AVs scored on the one chance they got. That game alone could have turned the series on its head. It would have been 2-1 Calgary at that point.

2-0. All the pressure would have been on Colorado to win both at home against a team they didn't beat all year and had a goalie in god mode. Instead they go back with home ice.

Oh, yeah, that was game 2. IMO the confidence boost would have been incredible. Calgary still hadn't played well, but it could well have been a factor that they lost that one.

Once Calgary took the lead in 3rd period of game 2, they played their best hockey of the series in the rest of the period and OT. But they gave up two goals and lost. You're right, and it's a shame they couldn't squeak that one out.

But fact is they were playing with fire the entire series, and were fortunate to even get into those situations with a chance to win.
