Has any team ever swept a round and then been swept immediately after before?

The way all 3 sets of players shake hands in sync is oddly satisfying.

Was siding with the isles, but I have no problem with the canes. Hamilton can be as cheeky as he likes in a handshake line, he is still soft as a kitten. I do not miss his act one bit. Maybe the canes will hire Freddie as his advisor in the offseason.

bit of revisionist history in here, guy has been okay in the playoffs...third or fourth best dmen on his team. If not for the former Flame connection we wouldn't even be talking about him as he has contributed but is down the list a bit as to why the Canes are here.

The Canes themselves were looking to trade him a few months back for whatever reason, he was fourth or fifth on the team in ice time for dmen most of the year.

If Holtby doesn't blow game seven he looks pretty bad for how he played against Ovechkin but ends up with the last laugh I guess.

Ha, this post sounds so salty. It's ok to allow people to still cheer for Dougie...he was a fun guy who played well for us. It doesn't need to be taken as a personal slight against the Flames...

I wouldn't put much stock around a random trade rumour near the trade deadline - I hardly think that confirms the Canes were upset with him.

And if he played so little, I suppose it's even more impressive that he lead all D in goals and finished top 10 in scoring post All-star break. We're always keen to allow players a chance to adjust to their new team, so shouldn't he be given that chance too? For some reason, the Canes kept him off PP1 for the first few months and that really limited his offense.

Its an opinion...cheer for him all you want. He has been their 3rd or 4th best dman. Some are acting like he is carrying the team on his back.

Like I said earlier Good offensively/average at best defensively...useful if sheltered
