Rod Brindamour has them playing the way he did - honest, dedicated, never give up attitude and hardworking every second. I love their work ethic.

I'd like to Ferland get back into the playoffs and win the cup. What is his status?

Seems to bring it when the games matter more, a playoff performer. Maybe not the best regular season guy but a playoff performer. He was pretty good in Boston in the playoffs as well.

Not sure, but this Canes team looks like they have that "lightning in a bottle" thing going on. With the way they're playing, I think there's a good chance we'll see them in the final.

Puck support is an overly thrown around term but the Canes are unbelievable at it.

Skating. Day to day. Was a possible for return tonight apparently. Brind'Amour was quoted saying that as soon as he says he is ready to go, then he's going.

Last time it's happened:

1993 - BUF swept BOS in Round 1, MTL swept BUF in Round 2

1992 was crazy too:
Round 2 - BOS swept MTL, and CHI swept DET
Round 3 - PIT swept BOS, and CHI swept EDM
Finals - PIT swept CHI

no point in rushing Ferly at this point: Canes have been rolling along just fine.

love their game to be honest, fast, hit and people are contributing up and down that lineup.

Wished we had picked Teravainen when we had the chance

The World Trade Center towers were still standing the last time the Hurricanes lost in the first round of the playoffs.

The Berlin Wall was still standing the last time the Hurricanes/Whalers franchise lost in the second round.

I would say that getting Trevor Van Riemsdyk back, and getting some rest for Hamilton/Slavin/Pesce, are probably even more important that getting Ferland back. This is going to be some very valuable time off for the Canes.

I just hope CBJ beats Boston. ECF Wild Card Showdown!

Friday night and a trip to the conference finals. Might be a few wobbly pops being consumed tonight there.
