Surely, she could have sensed Thanos, a menace to the universe already, gaining even control of one of the stone was a pretty big deal. No?

If Thanos' forces had put up more resistance to CM, it would have worked a lot better for me.
Maybe she did help in a different timeline.

When Loki invaded New York, Sam Jackson didn’t contact Marvel because he had built a team specifically to replace her. And also they didn’t realize the threat was an invading space army until it actually happened. She had no time to arrive.

Sensing danger isn’t in her arsenal.

I read somewhere that the primary reason they filmed Infinity War and Endgame back to back was for financial reasons.

The cost to cast that many stars in a film and pay them to show up twice, I guess is quite astronomical.

On a film like this that is a license to print money, I find that interesting.

I can't help but think that Scientist Kitten Hands from the BP movie probably should have died instantly.

They still need to make more BP movies afterwards.

The way I see the Exec Producers dealing with Character deaths:

Ongoing Movie Franchises: Black Panther, Spiderman, Dr. Strange, GOTG, Antman... etc...
must keep their respective characters alive.

Completed Movie Franchises: Iron man, Thor, Capt America, Avengers...etc...
expendable characters that can die (Tony Stark, Black Widow, Vision, Loki)

I would've killed Hawkeye cause Jeremy Renner is getting old. And War Machine, cause Don Cheadle is old too and was greying up. Plus nobody would shed a tear if he died

Jane too. Nobody gave Natalie Portman any love past Thor 1, so why not axe her and put this 'female Thor' thing to rest?

I havent watched Captain Marvel yet, but is she really this OP? Ms. Marvel/Capt Marvel in the comics was not nearly as strong as is portrayed in the movie.

Sentry would've made more sense to show this kind of power but I guess you gotta pander to the female movement.

Yes, that pesky female movement that encompasses half the population of the planet earth...

Damn their pesky minor uprising!

I saw it yesterday, didn't like it all that much. I would say it was ok but a far drop down from Infinity War. Anti climatic, has its moments but also a bit of a mess that doesn't seem to get as interesting as the other movies do, almost gets too silly at times. I was expecting a much better movie honestly for all the hype. I haven't been disappointed by going to a theater in over 5 years so it was bound to happen.

Jesus, what an extreme, overreaction

like the scene where all the female heroes conveniently clamoured together, it's just pandering because Disney wanted to include some of that "Frozen" feel good magic in the MCU

Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel is way different in the comics. Thor was significantly stronger

To be clear I have no problems with a very powerful female character. My issue is that Thanos pre-infinity stones, is supposed to already be a very powerful villain. He goes around killing half the population of many planets, and he's been doing this for at least decades. His cooperation is enough to entice a Kree faction to follow him.

If it was that easy for CM to take out his flagship, surely either CM or someone else in her position would have put an end to Thanos after he took out a few dozen populated planets?

But destroying the ship didn't defeat Thanos. The rest of the Avengers were still needed. Without them Thanos would have won even with his flagship destroyed. The other planets didn't have Tony.

^ Presumably had she done that when Thanos was aboard, in space, it would have killed him. Or at least it's probably not going to be quite so easy for him to kill 50% of the population of various worlds with no ship and no army of CGI monsters.

I did expect CM to play a larger role in the movie. Instead, they focused on the OG Avengers team. That's fine. As for her power level vs comics, I gather that in the MCU she's basically just Binary all the time. Which... cool, but it's going to be really hard to take a character like that anywhere from here. Who's she supposed to fight? Maybe Galactus?

I guess the answer is to have her essentially do what she did in this movie - be too busy with other worlds to intervene in what's going on on Earth until plot convenience requires her attendance. In which case they just gave a deus ex machina its own stand alone movie.

yup, I wish they had addressed this. from the early 90's to present, CM was flying around as protector and hero of the cosmos, wherever she was needed. meanwhile, Thanos was chopping entire civilizations in half since at least when Gamora was a toddler and probably years before. and in the first GoTG he's outright called the most powerful being in the universe. yet when CM meets the Avengers she's like "who's Thanos?"...that doesn't add up.

Apparently Thor's fat suit is considered 'fat shaming' by some:

Quote:
For myself and other theatergoers who are, or have been, fat, it's reminiscent of times when well-meaning family members suggested, without solicitation, diet changes. There's an implicit message in these sorts of statements that the solution to a perceived weight problem is simple and, regardless of how someone feels about themselves, they must change. Although it's certainly a motherly thing to say, Frigga's choice of words casts Thor's weight as aberrant, which undermines the supportive and empowering tone she's trying to take.

The second interaction comes toward the end of the film. Thor volunteers to use the Infinity Gauntlet to reverse the snap, and his friends -- knowing it might prove deadly -- talk him out doing so. The god of thunder asks if they know what flows through his veins. Rhodey responds, "Cheez Whiz?"

This is the only negative thing for me in Endgame. I didn't like Captain Marvel as a movie because the character was so dry at the start, then became so powerful at the end there was zero emotional investment. Then they just double down on her power in Endgame raising questions on wtf she was doing for the last 20 years while Thanos ran amok. It's the one character in the MCU that I really think they missed the mark on, at least they were wise in only using her sparingly in Endgame

God I hate fat snowflakes

Quote:

That's because it is simple. I was 5'11 and 250 pounds, I could only wish for fat Thor's body. The cause was simple, and the fix was simple. I was extremely lazy and had a #### diet. As soon as I finally got it in my head that I wanted to change, I increased my physical activity, started counting calories and cutting out sugar. That's it, and after a year or so I was down to 180. Unless you have a legitimate medical issue that causes weight gain (which Thor clearly doesn't) this isn't a complex issue, and I can't stand the SJW's that preach about acceptance or tolerance for obesity. All that does is provide excuses, and that mindset kept me fatter for far longer than I should have been
