The one thing I think that was missed a little was a true final confrontation between Jon and the Night King.

Kinda felt like Jon was the key to the whole White Walker storyline and in the final battle against them he was pretty inconsequential.

I loved how the Hound stepped up to help Arya. Awesome to see his character's raw emotion after being stone cold much of the series. Character development, even in the heat of battle.

Jon did need to be more consequential. For me I like the way the NK went down and it didn't need to be Jon, but he certainly could've slain a few white walkers and had his moments of glory like Jorah.

To be honest I love this setup for the rest of the season.

But what army are they going to fight her with. Has to be optimistically a couple hundred of them left, going by the amount of causalities we witnessed in that episode?

It's a lot like Dr. Strange and giving up the time stone in IW. Sees all, but has to let it play out exactly the way it's supposed to. I don't think it was ever his job to turn himself into a weapon. Three eyed raven is there for a different purpose.

He knew exactly where to wait for everything to play out. Knew the cost. Probably why he's been so numb all along.
