Mrazek hurt and he's left the game.
McBackup is in the net.

Ugly Devon Toews pinball goal off a rebound, but ruled a kick from behind the net.
Too bad honestly. He kicked it from the corner basically into the crease and it bounced in. Feels like a goal that should count but obviously won't.

Thay should have counted . A distinct kicking motion into the net. I'd get it if he wasn't at the goal line or below it and kicking it out towards the slot. Plus it hit McBackup. IMO should count. Weird ruling.

Looks like CAR has the last word (laugh) on the trade.
They hardly seem to be missing Hanafin and Lindholm.

The last laugh during year one of the trade?
We have Lindholm and Hanifin under contract for a combined 12 seasons.
Carolina only has 3 Dougie years under contract, and 1 of Ferland. They're poised to lose Ferland to free agency and have to try and scramble to get something for Fox.
Also, Carolina would have had a good year last season if they got the goaltending they've had this year. That's the biggest difference by far.

I still think it was a great trade for Calgary. Lindholm and Hanafin will be a huge part of the Flames for years to come.

Thankfully this isnt how judging a trade is done.

Huh. Carolina is still playing hockey with a 2-1 lead.
Based on what I saw from the Flames, I thought you just play the "throw the puck away once you get it" game with 10 mins left with a 2-1 lead.

Sure, I guess you could take the fun out of it if you wanted to be like that

Does that mean the Oilers had the last laugh on the Hall trade because they made the 2nd round without him?
Because it's worked out this far for the Canes doesnt change that value wise they could have done way better. There's a good chance that in 2 weeks they only have Hamilton left to show for it all

Carolina has outworked and out-battled NYI in the first two games and as a consequence are up 2-0 , going home.
Hard to believe that could happen, with the Canes coming off a grueling 7 game series with the Caps and Isles making short work of the Pens.
