A healthy Ferland would have a made a difference.

That trade with Carolina is not as lopsided as we thought 2 weeks ago.

The biggest positive from this series.....it wasn’t close so BT shouldn’t be confused on what he needs to do or have hesitation in regards to what ifs, his mandate should be clear.

Ironically, Smiths performance didn’t necissarily make his plan B for net crystal clear.

Ferland would have been the same piece of glass in Calgary this season...he gets hurt every other time he throws a hit

Ferland has zero points in his last eight playoff games

Going to throw this out there. Re-posted from GT and yes I know everyone is very disappointed.

Living and learning from tough experiences = maturity and wisdom

Lot of critical roster players, hopefully, are going to get better from what happened in this series.

They missed the playoffs last year and had 50 wins and were 2nd best in the regular season. That’s a significant improvement.

Yeah. Maybe I am too patient but I am not ready to sell out at this point.

It’s a tough balance

Build a playoff team and it’s tough to make it (Anaheim)
Build a Season team and it’s tough to make it deep (names not needed)

I love a team that will punish an opponent and be a toss up to go deep but we have to go with what we have and it’s a small skilled team who has a difficult time playing a tough team in the playoffs

Hats off to Colorado as they smoked us in all aspects of play

I just know we're going to hear from the organization how the "Flames are close" the learning experience and all that.

Tre should have over paid for Reaves instead of Neal.

I don't care about excuses. "He gets no calls," whatever. He does not perform, and he has not performed.

That is an inexcusable level of ineffectiveness.
Just shut it. He busted his ass the entire round. He can't help it if Monahan and Lindholm did the Hollow Men. Lindholm must have injured himself after game 1 where he hit everything in sight, cuz he was terrible the next 4.

This is what it feels to be the Capitals pre-2018. I'd like to have the same ending to that story here.

Same old Flames.

Yep. I never embraced the red mile talk this year or wondered why I saw so few car flags, because there was always that dark cloud of Flames playoff disappointments past preventing any real enthusiasm from forming. And then this year's team went right along and proved all of the doubters right. What a pathetic franchise

Anybody see the hath/mackinnon exchange in the handshake? Couldn’t read lips but little baby mackinnnon gave him a hard extra stare.

Not sure why losing in 5 deserves a standing ovation from the fans but whatever. I guess we reward mediocrity now. Glad I didn’t stick around too long.

Yeah. You need guys to get you there. You need guys to win when you are there. These aren't always the same guys. Flames have first group, not the second. Obviously

Exactly, as mentioned before the Flames along with the Oilers, Jets, Senators and Sabres are on the bottom of the league for destinations. Top free agents don’t ever go to places like these unless you massively overpay, even then it has never happened.

There is a reason why all these franchises are on almost all players list who have NTC clauses. Just not as desirable as other cities/orgs.

No it doesn't they kept getting to the 2nd round then ran into the Pens. Flames ran into themselves in the 1st round, again.
