No idea how Treliving trusts this core going forward, massive capitulation.

Yup. I don't understand it at all. They are playing like it's one of the first few games of the regular season. Slow. Missing passes. Just bad all around.
You'd never, ever guess this was a do or die must win season ending game, just watching it. Disappointing.

Probably the most depressing way to head into the offseason. There are no positives I can see coming out of this series

No it isn’t. Regular season means very little to me. Especially with this organization. It’s hard to be a Flames fan in reality. First round fodder and exists is just normal for this organization.

Yes, sure looks like it.
I find it interesting to see what players show up in games and periods like this. Says a lot about a player as a competitor.

This is 2006 Ducks Game 7 all over again.
And I'm expecting the following seasons to be just as the same as it was up to 2010 if big changes aren't made to the roster.

He’s going to be expensive but I was thinking the same thing. This playoffs from Tkachuk should certainly bring that price down. Non-contributor.

This could be the last time treliving trusts this core. There are a lot of sell
high candidates on this team that could fetch a good return.

Seeing Hanifin and Jankowski on the ice in this situation is bringing back Gulutzan PTSD...

First round exit in 5 = disappointment. I agree, being first in the west means nothing because the NHL doesn't award championships for that.
Second round was a minimum and its pretty shocking how badly this team is built for the playoffs and how bad Peters is as a playoff coach. Not saying fire the coach, but another year of this, and who knows.
This is a year lost.

Still, this doesn’t discount what we saw in the regular season. It just means we need more. Lots of time and lots of talent to get to where this team needs to be.
|
Well it does kind of discount the regular season actually. I don’t know how it doesn’t.
You need to wait 12 months (hopefully) to get this taste out of your mouth. And a lot of guys will have some huge question marks hanging over them. Starting at the top of the organization and on down.

I missed the jersey toss - was it more than one? My God, that pisses me off even more than the game. Just brutal.

A core with very little playoff experience. Aside from Neal, Frolik and Smith you have guys who have been to the dance at most for 12 games. Most are in this for the first time. Like almost all.
