Flames and Oilers aren't that much different in team success since the start of the 90s. End of the day, both franchises that are incapable of playoff success over a prolonged period of time.

That is why I think that the refs should just call every goal as good and let the replay tell the story. There is so much going on at ice level that the refs can be at a disadvantage many times. Use the replays for the definitive call.

They missed the playoffs last year and had 50 wins and were 2nd best in the regular season. That’s a significant improvement.
