“High-sticking” lol. Even when they call a penalty it doesn’t make sense.

In the bright side.. Bill Peters has won more playoff games as head coach than GG.

Relaistically, what could we get for Mony? He's young, on a good contract and is a proven goal scorer. He'd make for a high end #2 C but he just isn't a guy you can lean on in the playoffs.

Credit to the Avs, they built a bigger faster team that’s better suited for the playoffs. Flames have a long way to go before they are contenders, it’s appropriate to question wether this core has what it takes.

This is their best game in the series

Unfortunately Smith wasn’t super human tonight

Not blaming Smith. Just saying I’m enjoying watching some hustle

Our penalty kill sucks. We use that box and provide no pressure. Avs pressuring our players in the pp constantly.

Over/under on Monahan's finally declared injuries once the season is over?

Monahan gets outmuscled by Calvert there for the clear. All of Johnny's criticism should really be aimed at Monahan... but on the other hand, this is just who Monahan is.

How are they overrated?

You don’t put together that type of season if you aren’t good

I don’t think we should allow this to spoil what was a fun season. At least I think it was
I guess what this means, and same for Tampa, is winning the regular season means absolutely squat. Even if we dominate again next year we'll all be thinking about this playoffs and waiting for the letdown.

This is Calgary Flames moral victory if I've ever seen one.

I would agree, thinking you are good is a heck of a lot better than knowing you are not for the entire season.

She did a lot for womens hockey and good for her. She deserves whatever accolades she accomplished as a woman’s player during that time. But in no way is the game remotely close to any high level mens hockey. Even more so back when she played. During my time as a pretty decent level hockey player, teams then would have crushed any womans team. Women’s hockey is just a different thing altogether no matter how you want to see it.

With higher level pro or men’s hockey, there are multiple teams you battle with. Not to mention trades and so many other factors that the Olympic women’s teams back in the day would not be subject to. As it was a two team battle for the ladies then. Plus, nothing about it is close to anything the high level mens game entails, from GM, travel. You name it.

That is what I’m referring to. The nuances that you don’t get unless you’re personally have been involved in it as a player. Which is why I like colour analysts like Ferraro and Hrudey etc etc. Which is all
I was referring to.

You're down by 3 in a do or die game and you're looking for the perfect play on a PP?

Holy cripes, just shoot the friggin thing. Unreal.
