Celebrity death: Georgia Engel dies at age 70

Played some really funny rioles through the years. Just great on Everybody Loves Raymond, and loved her on Coach.

Best known for her time on Mary Tyler Moore.

that was my first thought too, I get that people always look older when you are a kid, but something about the 70s clothes and makeup that aged a person a bit. I had no clue she was that young



also sad that at least based on what I read her cause of death was not known as she was a Christian Scientist who did not see doctors

no doubt, I think really Engel and White were brought on board to buffer the pending losses of Leachman and Harper- talk about a deep bench!

It must have been tough on Asner and Moore because they basically had to almost play the straight men to a really talented comedy crew.

She was really good as playing a meek and soft spoken woman. I always wondered if that we just her being her.

From the first season of the MTM show. Leachman is the second-oldest person in this photo at 44. Knight is the oldest at 46. MacLeod is only 39 and Asner is 40.


Five years later, Betty White is the oldest person in this photo:



Hard to believe there was a 26 year age difference between White and Engel.
