He was a condemed man anyway, but the way in which the proceedings went and the way in which it was carried out stops at nothing short of sending a firm message of who is in control and who is going to stay in control.

I laughed out loud when i read about this before the war began.

I definitely would have payed to see Saddam and whoever it was go at it in a "duel" vs Bush and cheney, that would have been gold...after all, Cheney is far from a sharp-shooter. Haha.

Iraq was mess even before Saddam Hussein or the Baath Party were in power. It's really a hopless country that has no chance of ever building a free democracy.

Geez that's pretty grim. They are "lucky" the guy's head didn't come off when they strung him up.

Good to see that they have a really professional operation going on over there though. Nothing says "well organized" like some dude walking into the morgue with a camera in his hand and pulling back the sheet.

If I didn't know better I'd think the powers that be want that place to get worse.
