No way it’s happening tonight. Flames were dominating that game in all facets. Plus it was earlier in the year when it’s less intense and not as tight/physical game.
If it does happen I owe you ten dollars.

Well Mackinnon got zero points that period. So thats a huge step forward. We hit the 20 SOG threshold over two periods. nice work.
They only scored 2 goals that period as well, as opposed to 3 in the opening frame. So really a nice step forward.

Czarnik may draw in as well..just for the foot speed.

Jesus, more than doubling our shots. Not a winning formula. Recipe for disaster.

even their not so good players are outplaying our "best" players

Neal is 7th in forward ice time tonight and 8th in even strength time, he is probably safe based on ice time.

Smith still in?
Gotta give the guy credit for wanting it. He's one of only a couple/few. Rest of them have taken the night off.

Why are our shots powder puffs? Avs getting sticks in shooting lanes, poor choices, we seem to be unable to even hit the net. Brutal.
How about some forechecking?
Checking?
It is only one game, except it’s two now.
Final rant, but why did the avs treat this like a must win and we didn’t?
And yet, win the next one and it’s a best of 3.

Imagine how head scratching it is for Tampa right now. How do you "improve" that team after a historical season? I mean ####.
POs are such a crapshoot.
Whats happening to Tampa is the outlier, its only happened 5 times in the history of the NHL. That core has gone deep in the playoffs, they've been to a final and multiple conference finals.
The Flames core has not and has shown an inability to elevate their play to the standard that can get you deep. They'll be 1-8 on the road in the playoffs after tonight.
