I know we've had some terrible luck, but nothing is going our way either. No passing luck, puck bounces, referees being absolutely awful in favor of Denver, etc.

Regardless, this game has just been terrible.

Avs shots are mostly high percentage zones
Flames shots are mostly low percentage zones

Regular Season flames shots where dangerous and a lot of high percentage shots.

Hope Smith, Bennett and Chucky call out this team and Peters scratches the guys who arent skating for next game...

Remove Brodie, incert Killington or Prust and i'd be ok
Remove Monahan, Janko and Backs for a game and run with 3 lines for a game.

Can't hurt at this point.

The Flames have defended McDavid relatively well. Mackinnon is eating this team for lunch right now worse than McDavid ever has. This is a straight buffet for them. This team has no idea how to defend the Avs right now. Reminds me of earlier in the year when we were dead last in high danger scoring chances allowed.

Smith's a vet. He can handle this. If the Flames can just play even-steven hockey the rest of the way in front of him it'll be something to work with going into the next one.

I think we all kinda knew when Backlund hit the post and the puck came back through Grubauers legs that it was gonna be one of those nights for the Flames.

NOTHING going right.

It would be nice if our top line actually played like a top line.
