After enough years, you become somewhat resigned to being that "one round team". Was hopeful, but extremely cautious. Meanwhile these American market teams where the fans don't even wear the team colors in playoffs put forward better efforts than their fairweather fans deserve.

We deserve better for being so dedicated for so long. Might very well strike back in game 4 but things would have to take a huge turn... how can they flip a switch from the past 5 periods? The momentum is so obvious.

You can hope, but low expectations seem like the safe choice right now.

I can't believe Monahan and Gaudreau weren't ready for this. Can't believe they can just watch MacKinnon do whatever he wants and don't respond in kind. I thought they'd be absolutely PUMPED up and imposing their will out there.
