Haven’t seen a hint of that.

I have a hard time believing how slowly the flames are moving the puck. I always thought all year the Flames team speed was really about how quickly they could move the puck and sling it around. They just seem to be telegraphing every pass and their puck movement looks so slow.

Too bad the flames passed on MacKinnon to pick Monahan. Oh wait...

When are we going to stop comparing the guy that Calgary had no chance to get to the guy we got "stuck with"? MacKinnon is better, that's why he went first overall. Luckily lots of teams have managed to win cups without first overall picks!

Well, it's hard to say they always choke in the first round. They have had very few first rounds where they've been the favourite in the last few decades.

So far it looks like that's exactly what they're doing. Hence the score.

Sadly, it's become a Calgary Flames tradition going all the way back to 1990, with a couple of surprising anomalies in 2004 and 2015. Hopefully this year will be different.

Flames look like garbage right now, but it's only game 3 and there's still time to right the ship. But it's gotta start right now.

The only positive is that the flames are looking to be down 2-1 in the series rather than 3-0. And given that they're playing the Avs, it's not the worst position to be in. The series is still very winnable.

The worst part is that the flames are getting dominated by the worst team in the playoffs.

As a Raptors fan, this feels like the Lebron vs Toronto show. I thought I only had to stomach that in one sport but now in hockey Nathan MacKinnon is doing that to us.

That's what a #1 centre is though. Sigh.

My point was the Flames aren't allowed to check the Avalanche tight...I mean that call on the "hook" two minutes for not letting him walk right in.

You're right though the Avs are allowed to hook JG

Bennett-Monahan-Gaudreau can't hurt to try out. They combined for the 2-1 goal last game.

The flames aren't getting anywhere in this series unless they go after Mackinnon and slow him down.

If the Flames can't put on any decent amount of sustained pressure in the 2nd I'd say it's all over.

Imma pull a Eric Francis and say this period will be the most important period in the post season for the Flames.
