IMO the worst call was the one on Hathaway....pure dive by the Russian. Don't get me wrong, Hathaway has to not put himself in that position but c'mon.

CGY out hustled. That’s a major problem. Peters should roll lines and not match. Get a rhythm going.

They have to find a way to play fast and just get in there. Win some shifts and chip away. Defend hard and be smart. Find a rhythm.

If the Flames don't get more grit and win battles along the boards, especially on either end of the ice, they'll be the next Tampa Bay Lightnings. Man, What a horrible period!

I don't see all the Flames as playing poorly so far. The bottom six have been doing fine in my mind and the second line has been a mix of good and not so good, but the top line is dropping the ball and that's the difference in this series so far. Colorado's best player is being the best player while the Flames' best players aren't making the difference so far. Coming into the series it was generally recognized that the Flames had much better depth players than the Avs, and I'd say those depth players are doing their jobs decently, but if the Flames need to count on their depth players to act as their top scorers it isn't going to work out well.

This is why alot of us said Monahan is not a #1 centre despite putting up points in the regular season. This whole board would flame anyone who even bought that up by saying "look at his points" ignoring his play style which goes missing in the playoffs and cant drive play. Look at Mackinnon and compare him to Monahan.
