My wife got this phone call today - it was Stephen Harper for her...
HAR-PER and MAN-DEL aren't remotely similar sounding - would need to hear the recording to see if he didn't enunciate well...

K an idiotic post about idiots.
Those people aren't running the province, they're voters nothing more and nothing less, I doubt they have any say in policy, have cabinet positions, or meetings with the Premiere.
I could point to a bunch of friends in my circle that are NDP supporters, that I could say the same thing about, but its not true because they have no say in the government.
People seem to want to make tenuous connections to make themselves seem smart when they're not.

Ahhh, Cap! And just when I was liking your post style!
Do we really know what party this stout yeoman votes for? Who knows, probably not UCP. Definitely not NDP.
No regrets posting it. What. So. Ever.

Are you in Edmonton? Is it really that green there already? I ask this because one of the tweets in that thread does also.
Edit - looks like the op says it was last summer. Makes sense.

Well yes it is turning green, not sure to the extent in Sherwood Park though. I'm guessing this photo might be an outdated one (it does look a little too green for this time of year). However, I have a colleague that lives in Sherwood Park who says he has seen this thing driving around SP during the election. This camper truck is hilarious.

Oil doesn't even compete with wind and solar, since oil is too valuable to use for electricity except in rare situations. Meanwhile natural gas is the fastest growing energy source in the world (in absolute units). And despite the supposed low cost of wind and solar, everywhere there's been significant penetration, electricity prices go up.

We don't know that; wood, the original fuel energy source of humanity is still being burned at historically high levels today.

Carbon tax? How has that worked out? Epic failure!
Soon there will be a tax on eating fast food too. Government will screw this up too.
We need less government not more!

You are aware that at the end of the Harper government was about the lowest taxation rate in Canada and Alberta post war. The narrative that taxes have never been higher just isn’t true.

Saturday was the final day of advance voting in the 2019 Alberta spring election and after five days, 696,000 advance votes have been cast, according to Elections Alberta.
During the 2015 election, around 235,000 votes were cast in advance.

In a new feature of this year’s advance polling, Alberta voters could cast ballots at any of the early voting stations in the province, not just the station in their own riding.

More fearmongering.
Fyi, China and the U.S. account for 39% of the worlds total green house gas emissions. Canada accounts for 1.6%.
The Alberta oil sands account for 9.6% of Canada’s total green house gas emissions. That actualy works out to only 0.15% of worlds total green house gas emissions.

That always seemed like the obvious reality but Mandel surely won't apologize for it. He knew what was going on, but wanted a couple of headlines in the lead-up to election day. That's a politician for you. He's a seasoned one.

It was always a bad idea to make something up like that without having other people in on the scam pretending they got a call as well.

You know that you're voting for a political party and some randos in a camper right?
Man, every time I see someone post something like this I keep thinking we should have a test or something to attain the right to vote.
But you do you. Vote for the guys in the camper if you want. You could probably write them in.
