April 14 with four playoff games.
Good morning everyone, rise and shine on this playoff Sunday. There's a big game to wake up to so get your breakfast/brunch munchies along with some Bailey's and coffee and tea. The schedule has a break in between the first game and the late afternoon games, no continuous 11 hour marathon of games like on Sat. There are 3 series that are on the potential brink of becoming a 3-0 series lead.

10:00 AM Islanders at Penguins
It all comes down to Lehner being a stud in goal or Crosby being superman and it's crunch time for the Penguins.

5:00 PM Lightning at BJs
The main thing being said is that we've seen this act before with the BJs, just look at what happened last year. Still, this defies logic. Tortarella can repeat his profanity speech to rally his players, but, warn them that Tampa is going to come at them with Lightning strike attacks and speed. I think Torts wants to embarrass his former team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Domingue in net should Vasilevskiy let in 2 quick goals.

5:30 PM Jets at Blues
The Blues are pumped and Hellebucyk has lost 6 straight playoff games. I think the Jets get shot down again. This Binnington rookie is nothing short of amazing. The Jets road playoff record is not good at 4-8.

8:00 PM Sharks at Knights
The only OOT game where the series is tied so neither team is in desperation mode. Here's a stat from the links, "Martin Jones was pulled for the fifth time in 15 career matchups against Vegas (playoffs included) but will make his 43rd consecutive postseason start Sunday, according to DeBoer.Martin Jones was pulled for the fifth time in 15 career matchups against Vegas (playoffs included) but will make his 43rd consecutive postseason start Sunday, according to DeBoer."

Sportsnet 960 Calgary and Sportsnet 650 Vancouver will air the Jets-Blues and Sharks-Knights games.

The arena is emptying with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game. Not a good look.

Penguins look pathetic. I love it.
I also enjoyed seeing Jared McCann get crushed after his dirty crosschecks to Gio in the 2nd game.

The Islanders are a throwback 1995-2004 team. BUF, NJD, DAL, etc.

Good for the Islanders. They deserve some success for clawing their way out of what looked like a hopeless cycle of sucking for so long, and then losing Pyjama Sam to the leafs just when they were starting to turn the corner. Hope they go far this year.

pretty amazing really... saw this as a toss up match up, but the Isle are really handing it too the penguins...
wonder if the penguins will think about major changes or not if they get swept

I think Trotz deserves at least a bit of credit for that too.

I’d have no problem with the Islanders making it to the Finals. Lehner, Eberle, and the whole post-Tavares hate.
