Better team won.
Scary thing is whether we have an answer for McKinnon. He is better than our entire top line.

I'm sad. For once, I'd like to see the flames do something the easy way

I’m not really counting on that. Flames aren’t making it that hard on them and if anything Backlund is going to wear down chasing those guys.

Our first line needs to produce more against their supposed inferior depth. It’s as simple as that IMO.

This series is looking like a real battle right now.

Flames are the deeper team. Wear out the top line of a one line team and win.

I’m more upset by how we played for 60 minutes than the ultimate result.

We completely wasted a fantastic performance from Mike Smith.

Watch it again... he gets it over the pad on the glove side, and Grubauer makes a great stop to get enough of his glove on it to send it wide. That's the shot placement you want, if he tries to pick the corner he might miss the net.

He got good wood on it and got it up, that's all I can really ask for from him. Sometimes you just get robbed.

Gonna be a huge challenge trying to match mackinnon on the road next week. Hope we can get a split, def don’t see us winning both.

Time for frolik and Neal to bring that playoff leadership. This team was a step behind all night. Avs won most of the races to the puck.

Johnny-monahan-lindholm need more ice time. ####ing brutal that they had 16 mins of ice time after 60 mins when McKinnon had 24 mins.

Yup. Johnny has been competing like crazy so hard to fault him, but that is one pass that should have been made.

Time to deploy heat seeking Bennett on Mackinnon. He may get suspended for the rest of the playoffs but at least we'll advance.

I just don't see our top line, current state, being able to match MacKinnon and co, they are ridiculous.
They've definitely turned to pretty much completely perimeter play for the latter part of the season and the start of these playoffs.

We need more from them in a hurry

Do you think we're as better than the Avalanche as the standings suggest? I don't think so personally. I think we're in an even series, with the Av's maybe even holding a slight advantage with an absurd top line.

They've been worse than 3M for two games. I know who I'd give the ice time to.

Shut up. It was competitive. The Flames weren’t dominated.

Grow a pair.

It’s the playoffs.

I’ve seen nothing through 7 periods that makes me think the avs can win 3 more games.

Neal and Janko should be playing 5 minutes a game.
