I have to disagree with that. Slashes on the hands are penalties that should always be a penalty no matter what. There's no physicality in at whatsoever, and it risks having your skilled players injured and out when the NHL would want them the most.

I wouldn't go that far. But the Avs have certainly had the momentum since their first PP, and now the refs have ensured that they'll continue to have it for at least the next couple of minutes with that weak ass call. Pretty frustrating.
