I'm super nervous and excited at the same time. As Flames fans we've grown accustomed to playoff disappointment over the years, and I think many of us are probably cautiously optimistic as a result. But this is also the best team we've had in years, if not decades. If they can bring their A game, I believe these guys have what it takes to do some serious damage this year.
We also have arguably one of, if not THE loudest building in the league during playoffs. The fans who are lucky enough to attend these games need to make sure to do their civic duty and give these guys the boost that they need.
Ugh, this is gonna be such a long day at work. Go Flames!

Highly doubtful. NBC has the rights and in previous years no playoff games have been broadcast though nhl.tv. If the previous game runs long the Flames game will start on time on an alternate channel, CNBC or USA or something. I’m just hoping the damn game isn’t blacked out on NBC in Denver because Kroenke and Altitude want to screw me once again.

Yeah I am the same. After watching yesterday’s games and remembering how many times defencemen would get nailed into the back boards retrieving a puck in playoffs, I’m sure his puck handling really tips the scales. It’s something that’s hard to quantify statistically.

They wont black out a road game. For round 1, might Altitude also still cover it? That's what happens with the NBA, the local broadcaster still gets to carry the first round in addition to the national broadcasts.
I hope you're right about moving it to other channels, but with NHL ratings so low I'm not sure they'd preempt programming on more popular channels? Still hoping for a second feed.

I may be a little paranoid and superstitious.. but.. the last time Rowdy (Sir Archibald Nubbly), my dog, got a haircut- the Flames lost to the Caps 4-3. Hubby had dropped Rowdy off at the groomers last night so he could get a haircut this morning, and when I found out I called the groomer. She was closing at 9 but she stayed open until 9:15 for me to come pick Rowdy up. No grooming allowed during playoffs! Hubby thinks I am nuts. He might be right..
I am getting zero done today at work today..
