And of course on cue Ronaldo scores just before the half.

bring on Martial for Young and switch to a back four with Dalot as RB. Enough with that back three nonsense, it just never works for United.

Not a bad set of results. Ajax are going to need some love in Turin but are hardly dead and buried and United are in tough in Barca but its doable, its not over by any means.

Barcelona were actually pretty meh, if United had any kind of attack they could have won that game.

Paul Pogba pure worldclass again. Being clearly the weakest link in a midfield three next to McTominay and Fred is actually impressive.

I think its likely that his head is already somewhere else.

The 2018/2019 UEFA Champion's League and International Club News Thread
David Neres is turning into a star, Ajax is going to sell him for a truck load in the summer. Goals vs Real Madrid and Juventus, not a bad year so far. Beautiful goal today. Ajax is a joy to watch, easily could’ve won the game today. Very much in the tie as they head to Turin. It’s a shame most top teams don’t play like Ajax. They’ve easily been the most enjoyable team to watch throughout the CL this season. Hoping they make it through!
I remember seeing Neres play live when he was at São Paulo and all he had was pace. Ajax buys him for 11 million and developed his game to a level I wouldn’t of expected. Brilliant scouting and development they have at Ajax, hopefully it turns into them turning around the Dutch national team.

The day after; It feels like we got too little out of this one. On the other hand, it's not over yet. All to play for in Turin.
Our best games have been in Munich and in Madrid.
We have nothing to lose and I think we're at our best in those situations.
Tagliafico suspended is u huge blow to our defence and the aggressiveness he brings to the team.

During the winter break Ajax turned down a 43 million (EUR) offer from a Chines team.
He's such a dynamic player and fun to watch. When he is confident he's hard to stop. Very happy for him he made his debut for the Brazilian national team 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the compliment!
I don't care much for the Dutch national team, but it would be great for us if De Ligt makes a transfer to Liverpool.
Together with Van Dijk we're set for our central defence for the next 8 years at least.

Yes, pretty much. However, Mino Raiola is his agent and Barca and Raiolo aren’t a good combo.
But with rumours that Ajax and Barca working on a partnership I think it’s only a matter of time before he joins Frenkie.

Gotta think he's Madrid bound, but it'll be expensive regardless where he goes.

well he can pick his spot I guess. Every top club would welcome him with open arms.
similar to Kai Havertz. Both only 19 years old and already carrying their team in big games, it's impressive.

Youngsters are making more of an impact than they ever had, which makes sense. Kids of today have training tools far superior to those of even 10 years ago.

Saw that PSG got hammered by Lille 5-1 yesterday, and didn't realize Lille were actually one game from getting relegated last year, and now they are almost certainly going to be playing Champions League football next year. Pretty exceptional one season turnaround, although they'll probably get gutted in the summer and be back to fighting for relegation next year.

Say good night. De Gea is a great player but he's had a poor year. Paying him £400,000 a week doesn't seem like a good idea.

Barcelona don't even have to do anything. So much self-inflicted damage from United ...
