Yeah, my point exactly. When was the last time they even won a game? Of course it had to come tonight.

I can’t see it being an ACL tear as usually that is associated with a twisting type impact or movement. If there is a ligament to have damage, the PCL is one that is easier to come back from and at times surgery isn’t even done. For surgery on a PCL tear isn’t always successful.

Oh and I am still not confident in Smith as the playoff starter.
Your comment about the ACL isn’t correct, it can be torn the same way as what you describe. Players get knee on knee hits that aren’t twisting motion and it tears the ACL.

But entertainment value wise, it definitely wasn't the best.

Dramatic scoring changes in each game too. Yeah I did seem like pre season hockey

Spot on.
Lowe also doesn't want McDavid hanging out in a Calgary hospital and being out of his control. Too many thoughts of defecting.

He has to get him back to Edmonton and to the Oilers remote safe house farmhouse north west of Stoney Plain and keep him there, Misery style.

These McDavid updates on HNIC are reminding me of when Buckwheat was shot on SNL.

Older people like me may remember this.

Nope he left with sick symptoms but actually they were more worried about his left pinky toe which was stubbed earlier in the day

Fortunately I’m not a doctor. . But a lot of acl injuries are a result of a twist. Especially on turf. The knee on knees in hockey are usually when one foot is planted and the impact is from an angle or slightly to the side. Hence a twist on the injured knee.

PCL injuries however mostly occur when the shin in pushed straight back on impact.

I’ve been most surprised with his deceptive speed, just a superb bottom 6 C

It's true. Until Theo Fleury's #14 is retired, no other Flames player shall get to 100 pts.

Sure twisting is big on turf, but this is ice. ACL tears are common when the tibia is forced backwards, it is connected from the tibia to the femur under the knee cap.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the MRI turns out regardless. Hopefully it’s not too bad.

Wonder if he felt or heard the “pop” sound.
