7 more years and the golf chants are probably the best ideas. The "let's go oilers / oilers suck" back and forth is incredibly lame and were should as an intelligent fanbase be able to be more clever than that.
The "let's go Oilers" followed by" Free McDavid" would be maybe the best and more apropos variation and likely best chance to have that occur in a game from a mass audience.

Back when, the Flames did the "Dream on" segment in about 2006 for when the Canucks came to town.
They also had Harvey running up to Rexall and doing something there.
As mentioned, the Flames have to poke the bear themselves with something to aid in the fans with something anti Oilers to get the full effect within a game and get everyone involved.
The organist in 1984 to 1988 would start playing the organ to get the fans to chant "whiner" to Gretzky when he was complaining over and over to the refs, how Sheehy or Baxter was being mean to him and his teammates,...
But in these days of hypersenstivity to anything the least bit controversial or mean, even videos like the one above usually doesn't get off the ground for fear of social media backlash or scolding, let alone targeting a single player like McDavid.
Slightly off topic by why can European fans of any sport organize themselves way better than we can with regards to fan chanting, singing and signage.
Like we should hang a giant banner at their end during warmups (like I’m talking 20x20) that mocks McDavid. Something like that Simpson’s “ Don’t forget, you’re here forever “ then have the LMAO emoji painted on it.

We don't have Ultra's here sadly. This community is probably the closest we have and even the support/coordination here for something like this is lukewarm, at best.
Any and all opportunities to antagonize the Oilers and their ####ty fans should be fully taken advantage of. #freemcdavid should be chanted loud and proud.
