Yup right now we're leading the way in that regard. Hopefully the UCP reverts the way we do things, because why be leaders!

I like how Adler put it last night
"Modern societies don't go backwards, they go forwards."

I don't like Kenney and the more I see him campaign and debate the more I see him as a well spoken version of Trump. He is even throwing out "sad" tonight during the debate which comes straight from Trump. I'm expecting "fake news" to show up at some point.

One thing I really dislike in debates. Blaming the Premier for what BC NDP does. Blaming Kenney for what an old PC govt did when he wasn't there. No one should be blamed for things out of their control.

I have to agree...its dumb.

I'd love if we brought in a rule that says leaders can only talk about they're going to fix a problem, rather than who they think caused it.
Convince me to vote for you because of what you'll do to make things better, not "Vote for me because this is all their fault"

There was one nice shot by Kenney on Notley and Kahn came in and finished the job around the rail deal.
Basically Notley accused Kenney of killing jobs in downtown Calgary after Kenney stated that the rail companies would have done it without Government intervention.
So Kenney fired back that Notley was the expert at killing jobs in downtown Calgary, then Kahn slapped her with the private rail companies were transporting oil already
Frankly I don't think Notley has done all that well in this debate, Kenney has struggled but had his moments.
Kahn is a astronuat millionaire, internet creating lumberjack pipeline building constitutional lawyer.
I don't mind Mandal but he's come across as pretty lacking in passion here to me, and maybe that's the suit.
Someone said it before, if Notley doesn'y land on Kenney Kenney wins and she's been pretty ineffective so far.

Yes
This entire GSA hissy fit has been a joke. The UCP is so backwards that it wants the same policy as those homophobes Horgan and Wynne when she was in power.

“Jason Kenney's UCP is running one of the most extreme, far-right slate of candidates in Canadian history: Meet 30 candidates for the UCP who got caught promoting hateful and extremist views” #abdebate #abvote
I was aware of several UCP candidates with questionable backgrounds, but 30?

What the hell does suing the federal government do over the Carbon Tax?
Seems like a giant waste of time and resources.

Notley has been pretty big on exaggeration and fogging the issue in this debate.
And she didn't force Trudeau to buy the pipeline, she was effectively on the sidelines for it.
And she rolled out the Liberal bs on Conservatives not building pipelines and got carved on that.
Oh and she made the mistake . . . again on promising shovels in the ground by fall, nobody believes her anymore, and she's done a pretty rotten job of building consensus on pipelines considering it wasn't that long ago that Quebecs premiere and Trudeau said no to Energy East even though NB is on board, and she's done nothing to change the situation in BC.
She came into this debate without a lot of credibility, I don't know how anyone can see her building her credibility in this debate.

That was floating around the paper a while ago, and reared its head again last week when some NDP staffers released some fairly damaging comments.

Did she answer ONE single question where she didn't refer to Kenney? Just one?
Awful...and it should tell you all you need to know about how she views her own record as the leader of this province.

Let’s play a drinking game. Chug your drink every time “The fact of the matter” is uttered by a candidate.

Kenny needs to stop the scoffing and interrupting. Even the agreeing comments toward Mandel as he's speaking. It's incredibly off-putting.

Premier Notley just said that pipelines have been ‘the fight of her life’. Respectfully, this is just demonstrably not true. She opposed KXL, supported the feds capitulation on Northern Gateway & was muted in response to feds killing of Energy East.

Bahahaha, that line Notley delivered about making the air dirtier for your children to breathe was just hilarious!! I can’t believe she kept a straight face!
