When it's in Anaheim it isn't that the Ducks are good. They just get propped up by their voodoo juju magic which boosts their shooting clip by 20%.
But yeah, good thing they'll be on the golf course far away. About time.

No, neither did I, but Smith has really played himself into that role.

Not a good choice IMO, like Backlund better.

I'd play him on line two with Backlund and Tkachuk similar to how monahan and lindholm can trade off their strong sides.
Maybe get the Ducks to retain some salary.

Dion was a good pick at the time.

Granted, not their regular PP groups the last 2 games but the Flames are 1 for their last 33 PP opportunities . Not good.

Kelly just baffled. You think maybe he wanted to play? What’s the issue.

Meh. I wouldn't take too much stock from a completely meaningless game at the tail end of the regular season after the team has locked up the conference. The entire team is playing at 50% tonight, including Rittich. The guys clearly lack focus and are just coasting out there for the most part.
Both goalies have been damn good down the stretch. But I do agree that Smith has the edge right now, as he's been really sharp lately. He'll definitely start game 1.

And if anything was changed back then, the team may be completely different today from GM down to the skaters...
I'll take Dion and the tough tough years as a trade for team we have now

So sick of Flames-Ducks games being about how good Getzlaf is.
I hope we chase Miller in the third.

If Rittich wants to be the playoff starter, he sure as heck should be focused.

No you're right, they're all playing with very little compete tonight which I honestly don't mind, but as you stated, Smith has definitely taken the reins for the playoffs.

On reflection, that could be the Oilers offseason motto and song. For finding a GM, coach, PHO, and free agents, cap space etc etc. The wind is likely more reliable.

I agree that the game is meaningless in the standings but it matters for all the young players as well as Rittich. If he's coasting then we shouldn't see him play again this season.
