I just made a fatal error. I saw 4 seats available (without knowing the two limit) in the lower bowl for game 5. I clicked on them, thinking it highlighted all 4 and was like, "Wow, only $640 for 4 lower bowl tickets". Rushed through checkout in my excitment, only to realize I just purchased 1 single ticket for $640.... Fortunately got back in and bought the seat next to it... But really hoping for a sweep now....

Sell them? Or maybe arrange a trade with another CP'er?

I'd be highly surprised if I could get what I paid for them.... I dunno.. playoffs are a different beast I guess. Wasn't prepared to pay $600+ for a ticket. Will prob just go and enjoy the game, knowing I paid a crazy price.

This is all a result of the madness that ensues around a pre-sale. You’re probably not the only one.
Edit: sorry meant to reply to the post above your one

I'm not buying tickets but yeah that's annoying. I miss when it actually held your seats for 20 minutes.

a guy i work with tried to buy two tickets, it was an excercise in frustration. lots of spoats where there are three seats availible, but can't buy two. At one point he tried to grab all three but was told anotehr fan had them.
seemed everytime he tried to grab a pair, he was told someone else had them. even in the lower bowl.
seemed silly how you could not grab two out of three, but there are lots of single seats.
prices on gametime (when convereted to $can) seem a little on the low side relative to the original price.

So I ended up buying 2 tickets for game 5 since I couldn't get any for the first 2 games. How does that work in the unlikely event of a sweep? Do they just refund the money on my credit card?

Scored a pair to games 2 and 5. Praying they do end up being the Saturday & Friday/Sat games.

After ticketmaster fees, you can still have enough money left to buy a couple hundred dollars worth of beer and have skip the dishes deliver you nachos from anywhere you want each game.

I don't know who is paying these prices, but I'd much rather go to pub and order some jugs and a huge spread or stock the house full with a bunch of buddies than drop $540.00 dollars on 2 crummy second bowl seats and slug $11 beers all night.
So disappointing the league is going this direction of completely gouging fans for every cent they can get.

I am. I know its expensive, and a chance of disappointment, but the atmosphere of a playoff game is like nothing else. It is worth it to me. I paid $165 for an upper 2nd bowl ticket and cannot wait

Bought a pair of tickets for Game 2 in the 2nd bowl for $340 on StubHub. I assume they are from a STH.
Not bad, these will get to be my first Flames Playoff games since moving to Calgary.

Has anyone tried Fanfirst for playoff tickets yet? Their prices seem rather reasonable

Game 1
Lower bowl $450 - $560
Second bowl $240 - $520
Press Level $149 - $225
You save about 25% on FanFirst compared to StubHub and Ticketmaster in regards to no fees.

Yeah I don't know how those will get sold....someone needs to buy a single first?
But don't feel bad, cause these would have all been sold to the season ticket holders yesterday, if they were able to buy them.

They might not have limitations of only 2 when they open up to the general public.

These were very similar prices to the secondary market in 2015. People who are paying are people who want to go to Flames playoff games and are willing to pay that price. I'd rather give the "gouging" price to the Flames as opposed to a scummy ticket broker who is making a spread for doing nothing.
It's based on supply and demand, if the Flames don't maximize it then others will.

If the Flames sold these tickets at $25 each, do you know what would happen? Many people would turn around and sell these tickets for $140, or more. Why shouldn't the Flames get most of the money people are willing to pay, instead of someone else? It's the same for concerts, shows, etc. If the Flames listed these tickets at $25 would you think they should then get taxpayer money for the arena? Your thoughts are disjointed and your outrage is misplaced.
