I had a Captain Spiced and Coke.
Nothing fancy, didn't get to the liquor store or brewery in time to pick up beer (my usual hockey watching drink).
In my opinion, there isn't much better than watching hockey while sipping a Black Angus IPA.

I didn't drink to celebrate.
I don't want one of those shirts or hats.
I looked forward to this day since December when I first thought it could happen.
Now that it has happened I'm like "Good, but I want bigger and better!".
This just leave me hungry for more. I hope it does the same for the Flames.
1st in the West? No big deal, let's do something that IS a big deal!

To each their own, but the last time the Flames were this good I was 15.
I'm 44 now.
I did drink to celebrate. I did buy a shirt and a hat.

I started cheering for the Flames when I moved to Canada in 1997, when I was 11. Never witnessed their dominance in the late 80's/early 90's. I only knew young guns. I have never seen a Flames player hit 100 pts and up until last night had never seen a Flames team score over 103 pts, or win the Conference. Amazing achievement, now let's go and get the big one.

It tends to be a little salty, but that enhances the flavour.

I feel jealous that I’m not a Scotch drinker. But I do appreciate a good rye.
Maybe I’ll have some belated Crown XR tonight during the game.

Didn't get to post last night but definitely gave a few good fist pumps after the win last night. I've long wanted the Flames to re-enter elite territory in the league, and here they are. It's been an amazing season. Instead of entering the playoffs just being hopefully optimistic we can actually be excited that our team is the one to be afraid of. No guarantees but I'd rather be in that position any day.

I think it was after Chucky drew a penalt so I’m guessing Thornton was calling him a diver. It would also explain why Tkachuk was smiling and shaking his head no.

First time I've watched Neal in a Flames uni and thought "that guy looks like he would be a pain in the ass to play against".
Moar of that!

This. To me the Flames being top dog in the west is like eating a really great salad at a restaurant. It's delicious at the moment, but all a salad is is an appetizer for things to come. If the main course is crap you don't go home happy because the salad was good, if anything the salad got your expectations too high. Right now I'm done with the salad and waiting for the steak to come, only then can proper judgement be done

I didn't have any drinks to celebrate with, but my doobie packed with Blue Dream was doing the trick.
It shall be Red Dream from now on.

I am re-watching the game again, and wow, did the Flames ever bury the Sharks after that first goal.
Timo Meier scored @ 12:01 of the first period, and after that goal the Flames outshot SJ 7–1, and scored three goals in the first period. By the end of the second, they had scored a fourth goal, and inflated their shot-dominance to 21–4 since Meier's goal. It was an absolute clinic.

Was anyone else worried about Monahan seemingly limping until you realized he had only taken off one of his skates?

If that's a glimpse of the Neal we're going to see in the playoffs, I won't be unhappy.
