The only clinching scenario for today's OOT is for the Stars, any kind of loss by the Coyotes gets the Stars in the playoffs.

Huge game for the Hurricanes and the Pens. Regulation win for Canes and they jump past the Pens into a divisional spot for the time being. A matchup with the Islanders sounds a bit more appealing than facing Caps or Lightning in the first round.

Min/Ari game is effectively a wild card round to see who gets to challenge Avs for the 8th. Tall task regardless of who wins.

You're welcome Columbus, for getting to play our tire fire team that have all given up in a critical game for you.

Between Carolina, Columbus, and Montreal, which team would give the Lightning the most trouble? Particularly which one would be able to drive the most physical games?
I am thinking CBJ, and therefore want them in 8th. Not to take down the Lightning, but just a little resistance at least in the first round.

The Coyotes may not make the playoffs, but thanks to them the Minnesota Wild certainly will not.
Well done.

Glad to see the wild go down... They are done.
Now if the stars can just win a couple of the Avs lose a couple... Perfect.
Fine with either the Avs or the yotes

The Penguins ha 3-1 lead late in the third period. The storm surge has been weakened.

Sabres are pathetic. Is that 1 regulation win in 23 games now?

Good news for the Flames in the overall standings! The Red Wings defeated the Bruins 6-3. Mantha has a hat trick and the Red wings have won five straight games.

Columbus has won 5 straight since losing to the Oilers. They jump over Carolina and into the top Wild Card spot.
Toronto play the Islanders tomorrow in Nassau so I hope it's even more hostile than the last game and than Carolina can kick Toronto's ass on Tuesday. I want the Cansdiens to knock out the Leafs in game 82 on Saturday.

The Penguins still haven't clinched. The win helps but, it's going to down to the wire. Matt Murray made 37 saves, including 20 of them in the 3rd period, as he was the main reason the Pens won. Cullen and Johnson each had 2 points.
There were SHUTOUTS in 2 important games. Kuemper sticks it to his former team amking 39 saves and Josh Arhibald gets 3 points. The Coyotes stay in the thick of the playoff race and basically ruin the Wild's chances.
Bobrovsky was perfect as he made 38 saves in the BJs win. Dubois with 3 points.
The Red Wings surprised the Bruins. Mantha had 5 points (3g, 2a) and Bertuzzi had 3 assists.
