March 4 vs Toronto.
I know he had an ankle injury at one point, who knows if that's still bugging him. Ankles are one of the hardest things to rehab as a hockey player, it's one part of your body that does not take a night off. Hard to play well until that's 100%.
No idea if he's still hurt, pure speculation on my part. Could be as simple as Fantenberg looking as solid as he has and Peters not wanting to take him out

4 March. He logged 18:09 in a 6-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

since 1 March David Rittich has started seven games. Mike Smith has started six. There is not much to indicate that Smith will be the starter in Game #1.

Mangiapane averaged 10:50 of ice time in the 17 games Neal missed. He is averaging 10:54 in the three games since Neal has returned.

good question... if he's not injured, it certainly lends a bit more weight to the rumor that he was part of the zucker deal and that Fantenberg was acquired to replace him...
i don't mind Fantenberg, but i honestly think Kylington has a higher ceiling... sitting him for a prolonged period if he isn't injured isn't a good thing imo

He hasn't been better than rittich at any point this season, so I find that to be an insurmountable task. Not going to bother getting into it with anyone about last 15 game crap or anything.
We are a better team with rittich in net and have been all season.
