Flames skate at 10:30 this morning... we'll get some insight into lines/goalies then.

I assume Gibson will be playing, and will have activated god-mode tonight. The boys will just have to get in his face and get a few greasy ones.
Go Flams!

Flames sailing at half speed. Good constructive effort. Still lose. Or wait, did SJ manage a win yesterday? Nope SJ lost. Flames lose tonight.

How great would it be to win tonight, Sharks lose tomorrow, dress Prout and call up Peluso to punch Kane in the face on Sunday.

Probably, makes little sense to risk injury against those filthy, wretched Ducks and their dirty antics. Don't take any unnecessary risks, grab a point or two if you can and send that ugly, smelly Anaheim team down the road.

Flames went 0-2 on the PK on Wednesday. I think a guy like Stone would be an upgrade on Brodie. Would probably mean taking Fantenberg out and bumping Rasmus to the top pairing with Gio though.

Flames gut out 3-2 win. Smith stands on his head to preserve the two points. GFG!

Peluso had season-ending surgery a couple months ago

Flames need to find their mojo quick or it’ll be a first round exit for them! No better time than tonight to turn the ship around.

That would feel just as sweet right now, also knowing that the coach is better and the team is better. It'd be a signal of a return to form, not of a momentary achievement.

That Gaudreau - Bennett - Chiasson line was fire.

Score the first goal and it's ours. Keep teams from being able to protect a 1 goal lead the entire game waiting for a defensive break down to capitalise.

4-0 Flames, Johnny with 2, Monahan and Backlund with one each.

This would be a good game for the Flames to win; makes Sunday's matchup against the Sharks somewhat less dramatic.

But more importantly, a win tonight gets them on the proper trend heading down the final few games. Bear down, focus, play well and quickly. That's all I ask. Oh, a couple of goals, particularly on the PP would be nice, too!!

I've enjoyed watching the Ducks play terrible this year. My guess is that Getzlaf, Perry, and Kesler enjoy making their team mates stay around after practice to smell their farts and they can't leave until they guess every thing they've eaten that day to the exact measure.

Such a group of sour looking jerks that team is. Randy Carlyle was a perfect fit for that team. Seems like the threat of being traded to Buffalo has made these guys start playing better though.

Also if the Oilers lose tomorrow and the Avs win they will be officially eliminated.

All this starts with a Flames win tonight
Very technically, the Oilers cannot be officially eliminated tomorrow.

A Colorado ROW tonight, combined with an Oilers regulation loss, clinches at least a tie in points and ROW. If the Oilers won out and the Avs Lost out, the game between them in there would tie the next tiebreaker, which is season series, so it would go to the final tiebreaker, which is goal differential over the whole season. Colorado would be ahead by at least 47 in that, with 4 games left for each team, but technically possible for the Oilers to make up. A oilers win over the Abs by about 15 goals would get them to where the other games would only have to be won or lost by reasonable amounts.
