I suppose the one redeeming quality about Isner is his matches are usually quick because it's a bunch of 40-0 or 40-15 games for both servers with few deuce games.

15 years ago today the world was first introduced to a plucky young Spaniard names Rafael Nadal. As a 17 year old he defeated world #1 and greatest player of all time Roger Federer at the Miami Open in their first ever meeting and a rivalry was born.

On the ticker at the bottom of the TSN1 screen, it just scrolled by that the Shapo match will now be seen on TSN.ca or the TSN app.

Oh man that will be brutal if they can't put this on a live TV channel for a match of this magnitude featuring a Canadian player.

It's tough tonight with regional hockey, mlb opening day, and march madness.

Hearing they are shifting Shapo's match to the grandstand as soon as the rain has subsided now.....probably a best effort to get this in before all the madness resumes tonight.

Neither guy has even gotten a whiff of a break. Barely even playing points on each others' serves.

Tiafoe does need to lose if only because of that popped collar.

Shapo had the set on his racquet on that break point at 6-5.

Ran around the forehand after a short 2nd shot by Tiafoe and pulled the forehand wide on a set up shot.

Then played a poor tiebreaker especially compared to his clinching tiebreak last match. Few very costly errors.

Tiafoe certainly looks the more fatigued of the two.

About as even a set as you can play - Denis leading in total points by one, but loses the tiebreaker. He missed a forehand long at 4-6 that would have put them back on serve, which I think could well have been the difference. When it comes down to one shot, you can't really feel too badly about your play.

That being said, he needs to keep getting returns in and making Tiafoe actually play points.

Frances' siblings are darn cute though, however you are right about the popped collar.

Denis with the first break of the match in an absolutely dominant return game. Of the four return points, three had to be winners?
