Tampa is in another stratosphere compared to the rest of the league this year. That team is a machine.
Pretty much every other team has gone through slumps this year, and stretches where they've been snakebitten offensively.

So Vegas can be a slumping Vegas team, but when the Flames lose, they are just a bad team playing at their regular level?

I don't think anyone assumes that the team isn't ever going to have a dry spell or a a few inexplicable losses.
The problem here s that our 1C has forgotten how to play hockey, that line is... dead for a long time here. Recent wins were on the back of the 2nd and 4th lines, and that secondary production is wonderful, but it's supposed to be just that - secondary.
Other teams ramping up, Flames are not even coasting, they are struggling to generate.
