Over at Star Wars News Net, a source who has reportedly worked on every Disney Star Wars film confirmed that they were “approached about working on the next movie this Autumn. It is not the Rian Johnson trilogy, it is the Game of Thrones guys’ first movie, and it is set during the Old Republic, as Disney wants to open up the Star Wars timeline and appeal to a more Game of Thrones style audience.”

I dunno at this point with the plethora of super hero movies out there maybe people are craving some villains. Venom did pretty good at the box office, at least good enough for them to move forward with Morbius.
I'm biased though I would watch anything Star Wars.. even the Chris--- nope sorry can't say it.

I still look fondly back at the christmas special, because its so bad that its bad
Lets see
a coked out Carrie Fisher singing lyrics to the star Wars theme
Mark Hamill because of his car accident wearing so much makeup that he looks like a plastic doll.
Chewie's grandpa's porn addiction
Vader instructing his officer to search every household, you have to listen to it, its hilarious
The Boba Fett introduction cartoon which was actually really good
The scene where Han leaves Chewie with his family, he looks like he can hardly wait to get into his car and drive away.
So much bad that its in reflection got a place in my Star Wars heart.

I've seen this all over the internet and I can't decide if its real or not.. the main thing is there is no Rose. Disney doesn't seem like the type to back down from all the gender/racial bashing she incurred as part of the role. I expected her to still be very prominent in the movie, enough so to make the poster.

Maybe shes the one in the mask on the right?

Super fake...low res, freaking Alphabet Squadron in the background? Come on. They’re gonna lay low with this thing until the Avengers mayhem has subsided.
Star Wars Celebration is in two weeks in Chicago. There will definitely be stuff about Episode IX there. Presumably, at the very least, the title will be announced and we'll get to see the first teaser/trailer at that point.

Hmm..."The Rise of Skywalker" and I don't see any Skywalkers in that poster...or do we.
Disney/Fox have updated their upcoming release schedule...
Spoiler!
After Episode IX, it looks like there will be a 3 year break, then a new trilogy with films released at Christmas in 2022, 2024, and 2026. These will alternate years with the new Avatar films which will be released at Christmas in the odd-numbered years starting in 2021.
Presumably, these will be the films from the Game of Thrones producers.

Clearly this is just a formula to deprive the entire world of its money-supply and to supplant the American Dollar with Disney Bucks.
Then we'll all have to wear Mouse-Ear headgear to work and become subservient to our Mouse overlord.
The end is nigh!
