UPD: Canes will try to trade Adam Fox after he indicates he will not sign with them

			http://twitter.com/JeffCoxSports/sta...27485593542656
Per multiple sources, Harvard junior D Adam Fox will return for senior season, opting not to sign with Carolina Hurricanes. Favors becoming free agent next summer. Great news for Crimson and college hockey as a whole.
News UpdatePierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrunHearing that the Hurricanes have been informed Adam Fox isn't likely to sign with them, that a trade would be the desired route, and I'm guessing the Rangers would top the d-man's list. Carolina looking at its options...

Well I guess we can put that trade in the win column for sure now, not that it wouldn't have been a win anyway.

So as early as 20-21 season Canes could have nothing to show from this trade?

If Ferland walks for free after a first round elimination or signs an overpayment deal then this trade is officially a disaster for the Hurricanes.

It was a win for us ever since we locked our guys up long term under 5.

Didn't we already know this? I swear that Treliving said that Fox's camp told them that Fox intended to become a UFA.
I hope he signs with the Oilers.

Will never happen - but imagine the reaction if Fox actually signed here as a free agent.

If Fox had actually wanted the quickest path to the NHL, he’d have signed with Calgary last summer and he’d have played the minutes that Ras has this year.
He was looking to get his degree the whole time, I’m sure.

It would be wild if the Flames signed him next summer though, wouldn’t it? Once Brodie is successfully run out of town, BT can avoid another Neal/Brouwer/Russell fiasco in Hamonic and have two wide open top 4 spots for Andersson and Fox to slide right into.

I honestly dont think Fox holds a candle to Razzmatazz when it comes to NHL hockey. Not even close. You're not giving Andersson enough credit for the work he put in to get to where he is already.
