Agreed. I know peters loves his 4th line but Ryan knows how to possess the puck and can help gaudreau.

I remember feeling equally frustrated in those games I'm pretty sure just about every shutout loss we have had this season the opposing team was playing the trap

The only thing that bums me out about this loss is that we're almost guaranteed to lose against Dallas, so we'll lose two in a row.

That's usually how teams get shutouts though, against any team.
I'm curious what the average number of games teams have been shutout this year is. Flames only have 2 shutouts if iirc

That Athanasiou is a player. Looks like San Jose is fizzling.

Has Lindholm seen playoffs? Too lazy to look.

Monahan can take a break. Bring someone up that can skate and has a decent shot and we may get the spark needed. JG makes his linemates better so who knows, can't be any worse.
Monahan can't skate on his good day. He has been a deterrent lately. If he is injured then he shouldn't be playing because there are few in the AHL that can be more effective right about now.

Would be a travesty for Monahan and Lindholm to play top line caliber hockey for 5 months and stop there.
Close out strong! The next stretch is what you play all year for.

No.
And the Flames have recorded three shutouts this year. Smith has two, Rittich one.

Can’t say I disagree. Something is way off with him at the worst possible time.

Good teams lose to bad teams sometimes. It happens. Would have been nice to put Pouty in his place but otherwise, meh. This feels like that 1-0 lost to the Oilers earlier this year. Hope the boys rest up and get ready for Dallas, a team that is actually relevant.

Dont think he’s going to change the lines 6 games out. They need to be better. All of them are giving the puck and losing one on one battles everywhere.
