I honestly can’t tell if you’re legitimately trolling or just 10 years old. The team is playing fantastic hockey and everyone is proud of the work they’re doing. But when your 1st line has struggled for over a month and your #1 center looks like your 4th most effective center, that could potentially spell trouble. Nothing wrong with pointing that out.

Apparently, #Flames fourth line have come up with a nickname for themselves. Andrew Mangiapane spilled the beans: “Doc and Hath like the ‘DAG Line.’ That’s their saying, so I guess it’s OK to me.”
That’s the only problem I have with them, I guess. Don’t name your own line. Stick to doing what you do well, being a great fourth line, not a line naming line.

Fun fact. Points tonight by draft ranking:
Flames
6th round: 1
Undrafted: 6
Rounds 1-5: 0

Can the first line take after the fourth line? I like what they're doing with less minutes.

This is why the flames are so dangerous. They've deceived everyone as to the order of their most dangerous lines, at least lately lol.

But the way the team is rounding into form in the final ten games is incredibly exciting. Even the goaltending. Buckle up, kids! It's gonna be a ride.

Monahan criticisms are overblown. I think that people sometimes have short memories. Remember near the end of last season when there were some criticisms, and even Eric Francis wrote that silly article questioning Monahan's will to compete? Yeah, Monahan just came back from an injury. Knowing his history, he probably injured himself last month and has been playing through it, and the games he missed were due to the Flames' training staff sneaking some sedatives into his pre-game meal in order to force him to sit.

Mangiapane is really quickly becoming a force out there. When I heard that Peters really likes Mangiapane's game, and decided to keep him up and give him all this playing time since the start of the season, I was a bit confused. Peters does really know best after all.

Only got to see the team live once (in Ottawa) and you should see him in warm up. He is in teammates space, hacking their legs and throwing his shoulder into their chests. All while they are doing shooting drills and skating the circles, not even during line rushes. Wearing his angry face the whole time. He is into the game and he makes sure his teammates are ready to battle. Not sure if he does it every warm up, but I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten any media (or CP) notice...that I know of.

I've met Garnet Hathaway. He looks nothing like Anne Hathaway. But my god is he tall.

Anne Hathaway would be McDundee and Dryshingles' winger if hypothetically acquired by the oilers.

Flames have a lot of guys with double digits for goals now. Hoping Mangiapane and Brodie can get there too.

Anyway, any update on Tkachuk?

Monahan really does need to put on his hard hat and net some trash soon though.

I'm not worried about gaudreau at all when the real season starts. But it is too bad he might not hit triple digits. Will be tantalizingly close.

All this bitching about the 1st line. Yea, they've had a rough stretch over these last couple of games, no question. But it's not like they've been completely invisible. A combined 17 points over their last 6 games, and that was with a physically ill Monahan who was replaced by Ryan for a couple of games. Granted, most of that was against NJ. But still, they've definitely had plenty of scoring opportunities over the last few games. Even tonight in a game where they clearly struggled, they still had a couple of really good looks that just didn't go in.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the points will come, as there's too much skill on that line for them no to. If the PP could start converting again, that would certainly be a big boost.
