Flames know they have the Sharks by the jugular. Going for the kill. Good play so far.

Good shift overall, read the play well and met the puck where it was going. Hes not chasing it. Good sign.

That 4th line is going to be key in the playoffs. Will draw some pretty favourable matchups and surprise some people

Its Tkachuk. Be happy he didn't get a penalty for getting his legs tangled up in that nice Canucks stick

Last year, I don't recall a depth line nearly as good or as consistent as the line currently listed fourth on the depth chart.

Sportsnet Stats @SNstats
39s
#Flames Mark Giordano is just the 3rd defenceman age 35 or older to record 70 points in a season, joining Nicklas Lidstrom (twice) & Sergei Zubov

StatsCentre @StatsCentre
Scoring to make it 1-0 @NHLFlames vs VAN tonight, Mark Giordano at 35 years & 171 days old is the 4th oldest defenceman in NHL history at the time of recording 70 points in a season

StatsCentre @StatsCentre
31s
Only times a D was older when doing so: Nicklas Lidstrom (37 yrs, 334 days old in 2007-08 when he had exactly 70 & 35yr-329d old in 2005-06 when he finished with 80), Sergei Zubov (35y-267d in 2005-06 when he had 71)

The Flames' quick, smart breakouts and relentless forecheck are just so fun to watch. This team is sexy.

Calgary has never had a 4th line this good. Have they? I can’t remember one.

Man the flames are playing solid tonight. Showing how their speed & depth can really put a choke hold on an opponent.

Would like to see Lindholm get back on the scoresheet. He's dropped off the last 4 games. Needs to hit 80!
