I think that was only if the Kings got a shutout.

Before tonight I think magic number was 8 so now it should be six.

6, but could likely be 5.5. Calgary with a slight advantage in tiebreakers right now.

Home ice magic number is very likely 3, not 3.5, as that tiebreaker is much more certain that we win.

Well this was certainly an unexpected result tonight. Remember a few weeks back when we thought the Sharks would never lose again? This is awesome!

Flames - 46 ROW
VGK - 39 ROW
8 remaining games left. So by my count home ice magic number is still 3.5.

Currently San Jose can finish with max 110 points. So Flames need 12 more points to clinch 1st in the division (and also the west). The magic # is 6 so any combination of Flames wins or SJ regulation losses that total 6 means we clinch 1st in the Pacific. Any OT/shootout losses for either team also count as .5 towards that goal. (Ok, technically Vegas can still mathematically win the division too but they won't so let's just ignore that part)

I can't believe that only 1 team has officially clinched a playoff spot in the eastern conf. with 7 to 9 games left. That is whacked out.
The Lightning are home and cooled out and they are not taking it lightly down the stretch. I could see them winning their remaing games except for one.

At least the Hurricanes lost, they're only 3 points up on the BJs.

Domingue has been a backup goalie stud for the Lightning this season, especially when Vasilevskiy was injured.
