I think it caught the edge, so the helmet would have gotten the worst of it. Otherwise he'd probably be still on the ice and being asked to move his toes and fingers.

Probably ####ed up his ear. He didn't seem woozy at all, but getting a puck in the ear is pretty painful.
Still, gotta love Rittich. The ultimate teammate. First guy to check on his defender and give him support after that brave block. That's how teams build chemistry, that's how teams win.
