I'm sure it is planned. In the case of my kids it might backfire as this would actually be a disincentive to vote. But for most having them still at school and relatively captured in terms of where they are is probably an advantage for the NDP.

Even if it is minimal it will still be 30-45 minutes of valuable time for them and this is mirrored for tens of thousands of students across the province. I'll encourage them to vote in the advance polls if the times work. I recall seeing the rules have changed and you can vote at any advance polling station rather than the designated one in your riding. Hopefully that is the case and hopefully the Universities will have stations set up to make it easier for students to vote.
Send them to the advance polls for sure. They run for five days and you can vote at any of them this time around. You don't have to go to a specific polling station.

Voting to "get rid" of a party is a completely irrational way to cast your vote and even more so when the alternative is an overtly dirty, potentially criminal leader with serious skeletons in his closet. Vote for the representative that best reflects your views and your riding.

Until there is turnover on the Federal front later this year, this province won't see any substantial changes to its economy and the worst possible outcome for Alberta would be Kenney getting all the credit for that should he be elected.

They’re with their parents...

Kids can’t attend a rally/announcement because they can’t vote? What?

It literally happens almost every time:

How are they prioritized and balanced when making a decision of support? Obviously, no candidate is perfect. I'm really struggling with this as I was ready to jump wholeheartedly into this election. Now, I'm unsure who to support.

I don't buy it, no one outside of Macleans has brought forth any relevant information on that item, and there is no money trail even put forth by them. Its an unsubstantiated rumor, i'd put out about equal with the comments about Brian Jean forming a new party.

They are front and center holding signs.

It's stupid when Kenney does it too.

The Left voted to get rid of the PCs and Stephen Harper the last two elections, so its time to balance that out this time around.

Why is it acceptable to vote to get rid of right wing politicians but not left wing ones?

It is just somewhat comical to see children of that age holding signs that they understand nothing about. The one child behing held by her mom is normal but to have kids strategically placed to hold signs front row just to look good made it look silly.

I guess that's one viewpoint. Macleans didn't just magically come to their conclusions and write an article though, they have evidence and quite a detailed account of what took place. The money trail doesn't flow right to Jason Kenney, but to suggest that there is no relevant information at all seems wrong.

Sure, it just happens with literally every party, in every race.

It’d be akin to posting a picture of a leader behind a podium and saying “why is there a podium there?”

Geeze, I dunno, really weird guys.

It doesn't seem like there's any indication that Kenney was involved in the money trail at all.

Everything I've seen and read points to Cam Davies. He's the one under investigation by the RCMP. He's the one who placed corporate money in the accounts of individuals to finance his candidate.

The Macleans article explicitly says
Quote:
There is no evidence that Jason Kenney or his team played any role in facilitating the payment of Callaway’s entry fee.
So what are you seeing that's different?

I never said anything about any specific party... was completely open to saying I just find any politicians use of children for a public image entertaining.

This is no different than politicians kissing babies back in the day. I can't believe people have issues with kids at these things. Happens all the time. For gosh sakes, families volunteer to help election campaigns. Like every election.

At least kissing babies is mostly an American thing.

I guess nothing considering that I said right in my post that the money trail doesn't appear to lead right to Jason Kenney. But I wouldn't call that entire debacle and what we've seen thus far as no relevant information.
