I hate losing. Never look at the PGT after.
Today I’m fine.
Flames played a good game. Goalie was fine. Allowed a pp goal, but scored a shorty. We were short players and we were on the butt end of worst possible back to back.
Will eat that loss. Had it earmarked anyway.
Beat CBJ. That’s a big deal and I bet it’s a tough game. Just win baby

Happy with the effort, though they definitely looked bagged. (I thought about that as I fell asleep on the couch about 15 min before game time...if *I* am tired, they've gotta be....!)
Bit of a chess match, some crappy bounces and generally defensive play throughout...would have been happier with the W, but OK with the way they showed up in a pretty difficult set of circumstances.
Coaching = NOT moronic. Sheesh.

Despite the lost, Gio tied Paul Reinhart for 10th all time on the Flames scoring list with his assist tonight.

Ya very moronic... Peters could have easily put Stone on forward...

He won some good 1 on 1 battles today, played quite well

When Brodie makes a mistake, it usually ends up in the back of the Flames' net, so I think that's what the agenda is.

Yeah, not so much an agenda as an observation. He doesn't make a horrible number of mistakes, he just seems to make huge mistakes.

There is only one team that can lay claim to being the number 1 contenders for the Cup.
And it isn’t even remotely debatable.

I thought we played well considering no Mony or Bennett and coming off a back to back. SJ lost too so back to our winning ways and all will be good.

Yeah unless I'm missing someone the team had extra dmen, but only Quine available with two surprise forwards coming out and Neal not quite ready.
This wasn't odd experimentation. This was all they had.

If they recall Lazar now it would be an emergency recall should Bennett and Monahan still be out.

I don't believe the Flames are in any position to use an emergency recall. They have 20 healthy skaters on the roster even with Monahan and Bennett out

If they fall below 12 forwards, they can use emergency recall.

If Monahan and Bennett are indeed just an illness, there will be no need for any calls to Stockton as they dont play for a couple days...and i would imagine today is a CBA day off.

True, but 22 hours gap between the games, and Sam Bennett almost feels like an afternoon decision not to dress him. Not enough time to call anyone up.

Thanks for the clarification -- I didn't know that there was a clear-cut distinction between positions for skaters for the purposes of the roster.
In that case, hmmm. If Monahan isn't good to go for Tuesday I wonder if Dube makes a return.
