If I'm not mistaken a Flames win and a Wild loss could clinch the playoffs for us?
Most points the Wild (top team in the West not in the playoffs) could get is 94, most the Oilers (top team in the division not in the playoffs) could get is 93.
That said I must be doing some math wrong, as the way I see it San Jose has clinched but Fox Sports, ESPN, nor the NHL website have them listed as clinched.

Has all the makings of another devastation.
Hopefully we get going in the 1st this time, and we can add Rittich to the pile of 'fully recharged' Flames weapons.
Really looking forward to seeing what Johnny comes with tonight. We know that last game was more 'typical Johnny' than a flash, but you can't help but have a little apprehension considering how long it took before the scoresheet was reading Johnny again. Is it a corner turned, or a blip?
I'm sure we'll know in his first shift, as I'll bet he's licking his chops at round 2 against the Metro tonight. Do you think Johnny grew up hating the Rangers btw?

This is expectation:
Calgary Flames - Y (Clinched Western Conference)

The Wild have a max of 96 I think
So if Colorado loses tonight, and the Wild lose to the Rangers tomorrow... then this game would technically clinch the playoffs. Am I doing this right?

It's close.
Wild can still hit 96 points. they play the Rangers tomorrow
Colorado can still hit 96 points. they play the Ducks tonight.
Chicago can still hit 95 points but they can't catch us in ROW.
So,
If we win tonight, we reach 95 points, and if MIN and COL both lose these two games in regulation then its mathematical, but that can't happen until tomorrow at the earliest.
I think.

Must win tonight imo. Sharks lost yesterday. First in the conference is ours.

That is correct, but Minnesota does not play again until tomorrow.

Should be a straightforward win for the Flames. This team is too good to drop this one, so I expect nothing but a solid effort on all fronts.

Does the fact that Minnesota plays Colorado once before the end of the season change that? That would mean that ONE of those two teams will get at most 95 points, right? But I'm guessing it doesn't matter, since it only take one of them to make it to 96.

Not being all the way serious, I just want first in the conference (and I know that can be achieved even with a loss today lol)

That’s great news, it’ll be good for him to get some games under his belt before the post season. More depth for the playoffs.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Zero coincidence that this team started winning when he started skating. None. I won't hear of it. Nope.

This is exciting news as I have this feeling that Neal is going to come back and really help the Flames offense. I hope so at least!
If Neal plays like he has in the past, its basically like adding a Top 6 player to the roster which can be huge.

Happy Birthday.
You guys are lucky. My birthday is in May, and so the Flames never playing on my b'day.
They have only played on my birthday once in 1989, but it was at least it was a win on their last game of that season.

Could you imagine if he comes back and has found himself?
Adding 20+ goal scorer Neal to the mix at that level.....
Very exciting.
