This game is turning into a microcosm of the Oilers season(Decade) on the whole. Start with lots of hype. Achieve a little bit of success early to validate hype. Hype turns to disbelief. Disbelief turns to despair. Once all hope is lost pad stats and celebrate individual achievements. Talk about momentum to build hype for the next one. Rinse and Repeat

The sad part, or rather, one of many sad parts, is that they really should be big brother. We haven’t done anyone since the 80s either. They literally only had to be competent/semi-competent for some part of the last 30 years to be somewhat justified in their 5 cup chirps. Instead, garbage for 15 and garbage fire for 15 more. Failure couldn’t happen to a more deserving fan base.

*sad = pathetic not unhappy...I couldn’t be happier

Oilers will give up a few early here so McD and Neon Tricycle can get some garbage time points near the end.

"The Oilers did not manage to generate a single shot on that power play. They are now one for four."

My first thought was "Is he saying that they have 1 shot in the last 4 power plays?"

Damn. Needed to get through the second up 5-2. I think the McDraisaitl’s come back here.

Debrusk: “McDavid really turns it up late in the season.”

No #### Louie. They’re out of playoff contention and everyone on the roster only cares about McPoints.

Mcdavid and Draisatl both at near 20 mins played already. They'll both hit 30 before end of regulation. That's bonkers for forwards

I swear the Oilers don't actually get any real scoring chances but Quinn just sells it like every play is amazing

Plus it’s hard for him to push too hard early in the season when he’s battling Polio, Small Pox and Tuberculosis.

Happy and sad for Alex Chiasson all at the same time. Happy he's had a positive season personally but to go from the penthouse to the outhouse so quickly makes me feel sad for the guy.

He has to. Nothing exciting about the Oilers season as it is. Can't stand his "OVERTIIIIIIIIME WINNER!!" call though.

He basically creams himself anytime McDavid goes anywhere near the net.

He's basically Mike Enslin (John Cusack) from 1408, but in hockey player form.
