That game was the first game I went to with a woman I was seriously dating at the time, my moodiness and sadness based on the Flames performance was an eye opening experience for her.

This comment from a Sharks fan in the ATL is one of the funniest I've read in a while, seeing when the Sharks game ended tonight (mid to late 2nd period of Flames game)

Johnny with 6 points and the top line with 14 combined?

Taken from FerklundCGY on HF boards:

“Gaudreau has the same amount of points as McDavid 5v5 while also having 1 more goal despite McDavid having over 50 minutes more of ice time”

Sounds about right

That one was the best. I thought all the Shark ones were funny. I haven't laughed that hard at an ATL in a lomg time.

I really only caught the third period in this one, due to other circumstances. But what a period! Way to go, Flames!

Unfortunately it likely doesn’t.

He remains 21 points behind Kutcherov, who happens to play for the best team in the league.

It’s been Kutcherov’s for some time now.

I get that MVP is supposed to be based on value to your team, but Kutcherov receives no more help from his team than Johnny does.

Read the ATL with your morning coffee. It's a nice way to wake up. Especially if you're dead tired from going to bed at 1:00am because you live in Nova Scotia.

Yeah I didnt quite understand the outrage expressed for a pretty obvious observation when he said this last night. I get that it is Francis and he says a lot of questionable things, but stating that Johnny isn't in the conversation for Hart any longer is really just pointing out the reality of things.

His season could end today and Kucherov is still winning MVP a month from now.

A bit of clean up was needed immediately there after.

Missed this game entirely (other than a bit of phone-watching here and there) due to other circumstances, but caught a few pretty funny texts from friends as the game went from great to ouch and back to great....I *did* wonder WTF was going on!

Watched the third period = WOW! What an explosion!! The boys were on fire - as they should be against a team like that. No more playing down to the opposition...I hope.

Making up ground against the Sharks is gonna be tough now. Losing those 4 in a row has REALLY hurt this team's chances of being first. Sharks have a very similar schedule to us...maybe a bit tougher, but not much.

Gaudreau took a month long hiatus from scoring while Kucherov kept filling the net. As big a slam dunk win as there is this year.

The hyperbolic over reaction is sometimes amusing. Mostly is not though.

And he may be right.

JG had a bad month...likely dropped him from any sort of talk.

He can probably get most that back with a big finish to the season, but the winner is decided.
