Season seat holders will be able to buy their Grey Cup tickets starting at $99 to $299,” said Grey Cup 2018 co-chairman and Eskimos’ chief executive officer Len Rhodes at the official press conference held outdoors in a concourse level location for photo-op purposes.

Ticket prices in 2010 ranged from $98 to $250.

Really?? After resale site fees, I paid more than that to go to the Divisional game in the same barn the week prior, and I was up in the third deck!

But yeah that does seem pretty steep

It wasn’t an individual seat so maybe it was a bit cheaper because of that. I was in then third deck, but near the bottom of it.

Nice. I bought two tickets..but also made the mistake of buying the tickets 5 minutes after Chicago's kicker Parkie missed the would-be game winning kick (tickets had jumped up $30 US that day so I panicked, thinking that trend would continue). Until then, it looked like it would be Saints/Cowboys, I didn't give it enough time so ticket resale prices were still reflecting inflated, Cowboys coming to town prices. Prices dropped over $100 a couple hours after I bought them..d'oh!

So virtually every seat (save for 1.5 sections on each side of the stadium) has a minimum face value of $269, with the vast majority being $309 and up (before STH discount).

I only renewed for one year because (i) I didn't want to lock in for a second year, and (ii) I didn't necessarily want my existing seats for the GC. I'll try to snag a pair for $99 and potentially upgrade down the road if it looks like the Stamps could make it to the GC...

It isn't just that it is more expensive, it is that it is WAY more expensive. I paid $300 FV to attend the Grey Cup in Regina in 2013 and my seats were 35 yd line row 20. Equivalent tickets for this GC are not even available to the public (Platinum) but cost STH $500. That is an insane markup.

Pretty ridiculous that they're not even putting in temporary stands for the Grey Cup. The only cheap seats this year are the token few top rows in each corner.

The Stamps would have been better off not getting the Grey Cup. All they’ve done is piss off loyal their season ticket holder base and they are going to have to reduse prices to fill seats or hope like hell the Riders get to the Grey Cup.

Likely one of the justifications for raising prices. With 15k less seats (or about 40% of current capacity), prices can be raised due to supply and demand.
When the WestJet Arena gets built in Vic Park it’s going to have 10% less seats at least and the existing ones will go up by 20% or more.

Likely? It's exactly the justification and the reason that new NHL/NBA buildings are topping out at about 18k rather than the 19k and 20K arenas that were build decades ago and why new CFL stadiums are being built with only modest capacities. Cheap seats really don't make a lot of sense in the big picture as they only serve to dilute ticket availability.

Everyone is being horribly dramatic about this. Sure they could put in temps but then people would bitch and bitch about logistics.

With the Adidas contract ending, New Era will be providing uniforms next season.

I'm sure these are just combine jerseys and have no bearing on the style of the game jerseys, but . . . . if the CFL's jerseys are going back in time to the 80s and having screen printed numbers and letters, I will never buy one.
