Well, that was arguably one of the worst periods I've seen from this team all year. But good on them for cashing in on that PP at the end there. They needed that goal in the worst way.
Now let's play some smart, fast, hard-nosed hockey the rest of the way please, and finish these clowns off in the 3rd.

Johnny was great it first but Monahan has struggled for sure and Lindholm virtually invisible. Good news is we got that late one. Let’s hope they come out skating in the third bc you know Vegas is gonna bring it.

Weird game. Much like the last Vegas game the ice seems tilted at first for Calgary but Vegas made hay out of a few golden chances. I didn't like that second goal for Rittich - I know it was bad D but Rittich was also looking at the wrong side of the net - he got fooled.

I'm gonna take a lot of heat for this one, but I'm gonna say it anyways:
The deeper you get into the season the more you need your #1 centre to touch the game in all areas of the game.
The centremen who are touching all areas of the game for us are Mikael Backlund and Derek Ryan. It's not a coincidence that those are the lines carrying the team tonight.
Sean Monahan is not a #1 Centre. He seems to lack the capacity to control the game like a centre, but a lot of his point production masks that.
